So I’ve been working on a sci-fi horror piece for a while. Here’s a snippet. I hate sharing my work.
…I sit here in the darkness as my eyes roll back into my head, utterly helpless: nothing more than a mechanism of my own thoughts. I transcend the boundaries of the physical realm to a higher mental plane. Thoughts no longer concern those of Earthly matters, but a new perception has been birthed of a force unseen by that of mankind. I am no longer myself, but a conduit. It speaks through me. It is not man, nor woman. It does not bear the flesh and blood characteristic of humanity. For these reasons, It has chosen me to be its puppet. This beast. This creature. This entity. This presence lays siege to my mind.
The malignant grasp of its invisible hand lays upon my head, sending a rotting pestilence throughout my consciousness. I feel the pain coming once more. It is all too familiar now…
